Extending generosity to our neighbours in crisis

This coming Sunday we'll be collecting again for the NW Bristol foodbank, This is a project many of us at Emmanuel have been supporting for the last year or so by donating food to be handed on to people in our part of Bristol who find themselves in a time of financial crisis.

You can find out more about how the foodbank works here.

If this is something you'd like to get involved with too, you can do so by bringing any donations along to our church family meeting on the first Sunday of every month, when there's always a collection area just inside the door as you enter the hall at Red Maids'.

The kinds of things that the foodbank can use are:
  • Cereals
  • Tins of puddings
  • Long life fruit juice
  • Pasta / rice
  • Biscuits or snack bars
  • UHT milk
  • Jams, etc.
  • Tins of fruit
  • Sugar
  • Soup
  • Pasta sauces
  • Tea bags / instant coffee
  • Tins of vegetables
  • Tinned meat / fish
  • Instant mashed potato
Keep an eye on the homepage of the website for particular food needs from time to time.
