"Prayer is not preparation for the work; Prayer is the work"

So said Scottish Pastor Oswald Chambers. And he was right. That's why last night we spent an hour together as a church family in prayer. It was a great time of working together at the mission our King has given us.

In particular we prayed for some people and projects in Bristol and beyond with whom we are partnering in King Jesus' mission. You can find out more about them and keep up to date with the latest goings on on their websites:

Find out more about Tim and Susannah's great work in Uganda at www.fingerprintsinuganda.org. Don't forget Susannah's challenge to us last night  - could you join the team going out to see this work for yourself next Summer?

We also heard from Anna Harcourt - working with Bristol and Bath Spa universities' Christian Unions - find out how you can be praying for them on Bath Spa CU's blog and Bristol CU's website.

Lastly Janine shared something of the work the NW Bristol Foodbank is doing feeding local people in crisis, find out more here: www.bristolnwfoodbank.org.uk. Could you join the team pulling together on Oct 20th to help the work of the foodbank by painting the church building it is based out of in Lawrence Weston? If so let Janine know asap.
"Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." Ephesians 6:18
Let's keep praying.
